Memorable day cycling is a painting by a renowned local artist, Portchie.
Portchie, born Jan Hendrik Viljoen, started his full-time art career at the end of 1994 after selling 100 paintings in one night at a large art exhibition. He is well known for his expressionistic and impressionistic bright, warm and happy colours. His iconic blue trees represent the air filtrating through strong trees as blue is a strong colour to Portchie.
